Gateway provides subsurface exploration, laboratory testing, engineering analysis, and recommendations and reporting to characterize soil and rock bearing materials and groundwater conditions of a site.  The benefits are design recommendations for foundation support and geotechnical-related issues with development of the property, including rock excavation, shallow groundwater, existing fill, expansive soils, and geologic anomalies that affect the cost of development. Construction-phase services are focused to provide a quality-built project, and to check that: the project’s plans and specifications are met, issues identified during the geotechnical exploration are properly managed, and unanticipated soil conditions that may be identified are properly addressed.  Our in-house laboratory is equipped to provide the vast majority of required geotechnical, materials, and construction testing.  Laboratory testing is performed only by qualified and experienced staff.
